My approach to guitar is rooted in a lifelong fascination with players who have shaped the instrument. I’m particularly influenced by artists like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Johnson, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Jeff Beck—guitarists who treat the instrument not simply as a collection of techniques, but as a voice of their own.
As a teacher, I don’t believe there is one right way to learn guitar. I build lessons around each student’s interests and goals while developing the technique, musical understanding, and confidence to become a more expressive player.
My work as a chaplain has also shaped the way I teach. Chaplaincy has taught me to listen carefully, meet people where they are, and create space for people to explore what matters to them. I bring that same approach to guitar lessons: understanding where you are as a musician and helping you discover where you want to go.
Whether you’re just starting, returning after years away, or looking to take your playing further, my goal is to help you find more freedom, confidence, and enjoyment in playing.
